Kitchen Cabinet Prices - You Don't Have to Pay Exorbitant Prices

George Mitchell

What are the kitchen cabinet prices today, and how can you find the best deal on them? It's no secret that cabinets can be very pricey, depending on where you buy from.

First off, this can be very expensive, ranging from a few thousand, to up to 6 figures, for the largest jobs. Obviously, how much you pay will largely depend on how much you need done.

The bigger your kitchen, the more cabinets you will need, and the more expensive it will be. However, while they certainly can be quite pricey, there are some methods you can use to save money.

Make sure you buy RTA, if you have at least a decent amount of knowledge working with tools. The reason is, buying RTA (ready to assemble) prevents you from having to pay the labor costs associated with putting the cabinets together, which can be substantial. Therefore, this is one sure way to save as much as possible on kitchen cabinet prices.

Yet another is to only buy used appliances, and obviously, the level of quality will vary tremendously with these. RTA typically are a better buy, since you are getting brand new quality but for used prices, so I would recommend you focus on these.

Also, don't ever buy at your local home improvement store, as this is a sure way of paying the most expensive kitchen cabinet prices possible. Sure, it's convenient, and you can see the cabinets.

However, you are paying the retail store markup price. Not only that, but if they don't have the particular cabinet you want, you will have to custom order it, which is even more costly.

I would recommend you focus on the internet, and then buy RTA. When you take advantage of these two factors, you are assuring yourself as cheap of kitchen cabinet prices as you can get.

Also, don't forget to check your current models and see if you can't just refinish them and save yourself from having to buy completely new appliances. Many times people think they need new cabinets, when it would just take a simple face lift to their current ones.

The reality is, I can't give you an exact estimate of how much you will pay. Even if I knew how big your kitchen is, I still don't know the kind of wood you want to get, or whether you want to get stainless steel, glass, etc.

All these factors have a big impact on the kitchen cabinet prices you pay. However, when you use the above tips, regardless of which material you get, you know you are paying as little as possible.
