Merillat, the self-proclaimed maker of fine kitchen cabinets, says that it sends representatives all over the world to find out how people are using their kitchens in order to develop product lines that will fulfill the needs of homeowners. However, if you read the viewpoints expressed by some customers who have reviewed their Merillat cabinets, you might wonder if these cabinets are really something you want to put into your home.

To start with, former employees do not have a lot of good words to say for the company or its manufacturing standards. These ex-employees review Merillat cabinets by saying that profit is the only thing the company worries about and that although the cabinets used to be made to high-quality specifications, this is no longer the case. These former employees, some of whom worked on the factory floor building the cabinets, do not recommend that anyone install them in their homes.

There are also quite a few negative reviews from customers who have had the cabinets installed in their homes. One customer tells of having upgraded Merillat cabinets put into her home at a much higher price than the company’s basic Classic line. She was unhappy when she began to notice that the wood in the cabinet faces were several different colors. When she couldn’t get any customer service from the company that made the cabinets, she had several experts in to look at them. They found the cabinets to be poorly-constructed and felt that they shouldn’t have been sold to anyone. It was their belief that sometime during the manufacturing process the wood hadn’t been allowed to cure properly.

You’ll notice when you research Merillat Cabinets online that you won’t find reviews from happy customers. The few Merillat cabinet reviews you will find are negative and don’t inspire any desire to go out and buy this brand of cabinets. Kitchen cabinets are a big expense, whether you’re putting them into a new home or doing a kitchen remodel, and you don’t want to take a chance of having the problems people who have reviewed them have run into.
